May 1st... was originally a holiday for financial institutes only, but now that the election's coming up, it's possible that the gov's giving some benefits hoping to win their votes? anyhow, tmr's a day off for us too... but i'll be running errands too! i like google's icons!

外換駕照

今天成功地外換我汽車的駕照了! 開心~! =D 星期一去高雄AIT辦事, 今天去監理站二度處理... 終於我爸不會唸我: "阿沒拿到駕照開車不會不安心喔~!" =p 可以光明正大的開始在台灣開車囉~~~~~! 明早要開始新的yoga課, 又是一個新的開始!


我的房間其實還不算OK, 因為還沒搬到屬於我的房間yet.... 帶回來沒有太多的東西, 但是有些小東西我還沒有整理, 為著就是想要一次在新的房間佈置. I thank God for placing Rita in my daily life in this stage in time... guess 'cause we're both still single in the family, we can accompany each other, and give advice when needed.... :) I truly hope she'll find the right one SOON! Lord, bless her~

好加在我爸昨晚提醒我要打電話給媽咪.. 我真的忙到忘了... @@ Never have I been this forgetful about Mother's Day... but honestly, to me, it's just A day to celebrate... truly it's needed, but.. I suppose how I treat her is as important as a day like today. 希望自己能變貼心一點, 對父母多一點的溫柔.... 可能覺得他們是最能put up with my temper the most =p so.. sometimes I take it for granted @@ Help me to restrain myself from throwing a tantrum freely just because I know that they will take it in... and, mom, I love you...!

I thought the sermon was too shallow (sorry.....), but I guess I shouldn't judge too much on my 1st time visit, after all, it's not fair to tell much by the 1st glimpse. However, the points were legit.

One thing really bothered me was when the preacher finished his sermon, the praise team came up on stage and the worship leader began to lead the responding song... hundred of people started walking off the building @@ crazy! Hellooooooooo~ the service is NOT finished yet!!!! Really rude!!! ><

A&C's Wedding Signing Ceremony + Boiling Crab

A few of A&C's close friends/family, we were there to witness their semi-formal 'signing procedure/ceremony' at VOH this afternoon. PK, 王媽媽, Charlie, Amy, Frank, William, Mark Hsieh, Jasmine and I were present for this sacred moment~ I was even asked by PK to represent the lady's family to say a blessing prayer over them. Though it was simple, it was meaningful and heartfelt, which was all it needed! Yup, Amy can be formally addressed as "Mrs. Wang!" Almost at any given moment around A&C lately, you would sense the affectionate atmosphere penetrate through... :) I guess I began to see the popularity of June brides... the season is just right for weddings! haha


For my 1st time dining at Boiling Crab, I considered it being a pleasant experience. Even though the guys mumbled about shrimps' staleness, I enjoyed the peeling process... :) And its Cajun fries was incredibly savory... perhaps the difference was only the powder, but they made me grin! =) Also the fried catfish too... hoho Now I kinda see why Frank went there like 4 times within a month of staying in the states =p


Happy side note: I'm glad I talked to Steph today~ God has used many people lately whom I care about, to encourage me of what I've been doing/contributing though I probably didn't see that.. or maybe felt being recognized?! Her encouragement was so sincere and down-to-earth... I've always enjoyed working with her on the same team for the past three years serving in Chongqing camp... she inspires me to wanna be a better leader, a better sister, and a stronger Christian.. :) also, I guess it was a better outcome after all, for '[] not showing up.' And, I like today's date - April 25th! :]

Amy & Charlie Engaged

Finally... my cousin's getting engaged today! I'm delighted to her getting the dream she has been waiting for... :) Though it was quite tiresome today, I guess it does pay off.. for her lifelong welfare!! And... it was until today when I saw my aunty & uncle shared their thoughts & blessings for A&C through the recorded video, I realized deeply how welcoming and amiable my ENTIRE family is! You know it was until then, I was soooo thankful that I was born in such a huge family.... surrounded by loving relatives. Trust me, not all my family members are problem-free or as naive as how I described, but... I'm thankful to have people with noble and congenial characters being my relatives... 真的好單純跟樸實... 我好自豪有這樣的親戚跟家人! Sounds cheesy, but I'm proud of being a Tainan-ese. haha

1st Visiting BSF at Brea, CA

[March 9, 2010 on a Tue evening] I was running a bit late, and since I haven't registered with them, I couldn't join their small group discussion for this first time visitation. I was allowed to listen to the lecture though, studying the book of John 16. Jotted down some notes:


- God the Holy Spirit transforms & empowers the lives of believers
- Holy Spirit coming -> for apostle's advantage (for one: prompt faith.. because it's unseen; unlikely Jesus' embodiment)
- The truth about Jesus & about sin is revealed by the Holy Spirit
- Is Holy Spirit convicting you about righteousness & sin? Receive or quench?
- Holy Spirit doesn't draw attention to Himself, but to Jesus & God! Q I ask: Am I the same?
- The effective witnessing is a product of the Holy Spirit's work in a believer's life


- A believer's joy canNOT be taken away (John 16:22); only when I take it away.. & exchange w/ sth else
- Joy: how are you protecting it? Tip: Phil. 4:8-11
- Crisis: leave or cling? v. 33 believers have peace (promised), during tribulation... do you leave or cling to the Holy Spirit?
- Peace is dependent on how I FACE circumstances! Not dependent on circumstances.

Patience & Endurance

The character VOH's learning this week is patience & endurance (忍耐). I'm glad to see that I have so much to learn! Seriously... with a joyful heart! :) Couple things to measure our patience... do we interrupt others? When things occur to be the opposite of our expectations, do we complain? 當好的還沒來, 壞的還不走, 需要救助時幫助還沒來, etc.. what's our attitude? Do we see God's sovereignty in the midst? Do I still diligently do my part to meet the goals?


我要學習不插別人的話 (unless others have repeatedly saying the same thing over and over again... I'll respond in a gentle and subtle way =p), 把多餘的時間做更好的安排 (看得出如何跟忍耐有關嗎?), 及... 相信我的 神! 禱告是我的出口.... I'll seek Your face Lord, make me a listener who hears Your voice.


明天要再打給Long Beach Court的事, 主, 懇求祢為我伸張公義, 所以我可以拿掉那個不應該屬於我的point!
